The
Railways regulated manytrain services on Monday due to the overflowing
of flood waters onto the railway track between Yelamanchili and
Narsingapalli railway stations in the district.
Though the damaged track was restored on Monday night, the railways regulated the services, including cancelling 17 services, due to the track problems and were taking all possible measures to restore the services from Tuesday.
According to an official release,the cancelled trains include 12717 Visakhapatnam- Vijayawada Ratnachal Express, 12718 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Ratnachal Express, 17240 Visakhapatnam-Guntur Simhadri Express, 17239 Guntur-Visakhapatnam Simhadri Express, 18645 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express, 57256 Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Passenger, 57255 Kakinada-Visakhapatnam Passenger, 67296 Visakhapatnam-Rajahmundry Passenger, 67295 Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam Passenger, 57225 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Passenger, 57226 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Passenger, 15228 Muzaffarpur-Yesvantpur Express, 22856 Tirupati-Santragachchi, 18645 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express, 02863 Shalimar-Yesvantpur Express, 18507 Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express, 12836 Yesvantpur-Hatia.
Four trains were short terminated, including 12806 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Janmabhoomi Express, which was scheduled to depart from Secunderabad at 7.10 am on Monday, but was terminated at Tuni, 12805 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Janmabhoomi Express, which was scheduled to depart from Visakhapatnam at 6.15 am on Monday, but was terminated at Vijayawada and ran between Vijayawada-Tenali-Guntur-Secunderabad. Similarly, 12862 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Link Express scheduled to depart from Kazipet at 2.30 am on Monday was terminated at Vijayawada and 12861 Visakhapatnam - Hazrat Nizamuddin Link Express, scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam at 3.10 pm on Monday, was terminated at Vijayawada.
The trains that were rescheduled include 12665 Howrah-Kanniyakumari Express that was rescheduled to leave at 10:45 am on Tuesday, 02508 Kamakhya-Chennai Special Express that was rescheduled to leave at 12.30 am on Tuesday, 11019 Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Konark Express rescheduled to leave at 12.30 am on Tuesday and 17479 Puri-Tirupati Express rescheduled to leave Puri at 4 pm on Monday.
